01 · The problem
Green algae streaks across painted render and cladding.
Algae had spread across the north and east walls, worst where the render stays damp. Two painters had already quoted for a full repaint.
02 · Our approach
Low-pressure soft wash with a biodegradable algaecide, then a gentle rinse.
We soaked the planting, then applied a biodegradable algaecide at low pressure and let it dwell for twenty minutes. A gentle rinse carried the growth away, with no lance anywhere near the render.
03 · The result
Bright, even walls in four hours — protected for the next year.
The render came back to its original colour in a single visit. Because the growth was killed at the root, it should stay clean for up to two years.
